Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, known for her blunt remarks, stirred a row after she said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah's head should be chopped off for failing to check the infiltration of illegal Bangladeshis into India.
Speaking to reporters in Bengal's Nadia district, Moitra said border security was the responsibility of the Home Ministry and Amit Shah cannot shirk it and blame the TMC government for infiltration - a hot-button topic ahead of the 2026 Assembly election.
